Ladbrokes, one of the most well-known names in the online gambling world, has launched their most recent promotion to highlight the range of services offered by the internet gambling company. Taking full advantage of their white-listed status for advertisements in the United Kingdom, the latest promotion focuses on a topic very applicable to current interest and times in Britain, making light of the Brits’ General Election in the ad campaign. The majority of content for the new promotion will be through television advertisements, bringing back a Tony Blair look-a-like for the series. As the General Election catches most of the media’s attention, the online casino group Ladbrokes has brought the likelihood of winning to light with their newest commercials, showing one political opponent betting on his fellow competition in a Ladbrokes shop. The latest string of commercials is the latest endeavor by campaign manager Alison Jackson, the same name behind the look-a-like campaign for Schwepps last year. The newest venture by Ladbrokes is already getting plenty of attention for the commercials on YouTube. The fresh series will capitalize not only on the Election, but the upcoming World Cup as well. The 45-second film features a Tony Blair look-a-like who is ‘caught’ betting on David Cameron to win the election, telling the Ladbrokes broker that he ‘always backs the winner, you know.’ The campaign is being called ‘What are the Odds?’ and will run for a full three months, with at least six look-a-likes being featured in different ads. Ladbrokes is a leader not only in the online gambling world, but also continue to have a strong presense in the Uk with their physical venues, inviting players in to place bets in person for not only sports but other ‘special’ events as well, such as elections. |
