As of this week, the online gambling software and games provider Playtech has official launched their newest big project with the introduction of a new real-money online bingo network, designed specifically for the newly liberalized Italian market. It’s the next step in Playtech’s growth in the new market, as they have already introduced a similarly structured internet poker network to the region.

As it was with the poke platform, the new bingo network is fully compliant with all of the regulations set forth by the Italian government for the internet gambling industry, and has been certified for launch by the Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS), the nation’s online gambling regulator. It’s no small step as the launch comes after months of operation in a “fun” mode, not utilizing real cash money, but rather pioneering the product with a play-money function.

The “play money” was popular enough to given Playtech reason to move forward on the project, launching the live version of their bingo network to the Italian internet gambling community on April 1st. It is their hope that not only will the existing players make the switch to playing with their real money, but that the venture will take off to attract even more customers.

"Following the great success of the iPoker.it network and the bingo network in fun mode, we expect the real money mode to perform just as well, with the network becoming one of the leading bingo networks in Italy,” said Playtech’s head of bingo, Moty Arcuschin. “We have invested heavily into the bingo offering, including customizing the product to appeal to the local Italian audience, and are obviously fully compliant with the relevant regulatory bodies. Working with the leading gaming operators in Italy, Playtech continues to prove itself as the most successful pioneer of the emerging markets."
